For two people NearVox is free forever. Pro is only needed once you want to talk with three or more. It is bought a single time, and only by the person who starts the group.

So who actually pays?
Every guest
Joining costs nothing. Guests need neither Pro nor an account, they simply scan the code.
In practice that means: in a group of eight, exactly one person buys Pro once and the other seven use NearVox for free.

Questions about buying
Is this a subscription?
No. Pro is bought once and stays. There are no monthly costs and nothing renews.
Does the purchase apply to my other devices?
Yes, within the same App Store account. The settings offer “Restore purchases” for that, for example after changing phones.
Does everyone in the group need to buy Pro?
No. Only the person who starts the group buys it. All guests stay free forever.
Can a second Pro in the group be worth it?
In most cases one purchase is enough. There is one situation where a second Pro helps: if the host leaves the group, another device takes over automatically. From three people upwards only a device that also has Pro can do that. Otherwise the conversation ends for everyone.
What if there are only two of us?
Then you do not need Pro at all. Conversations between two people are free with no time limit and every feature included.
Why is eight people the upper limit?
In NearVox every device is connected to every other one so that everyone can talk at the same time. That design is very robust, but beyond roughly eight devices it becomes too much for the phones. So eight is where it stops.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the respective store, so by Apple or Google, under their usual terms.
